My Favorite Film's Opening Scenes

Titanic

The movie Titanic is a drama film made back in 1997. It's about an ill fated romance on one of histories grandest ships, the R.M.S. Titanic. It starts off with a young man named Jack who wins a ticket to the so-called unsinkable ship. On that ship he meets a young woman named Rose who unfortunately she is engaged to an arrogant named Cal. But her love for Jack grows too strong which causes her to have an affair and eventually end things with Cal. Just as Jack and Rose's relationship start to look up an iceberg hits the ship and the Titanic doesn't live up to its nickname as the unsinkable ship. Sadly, the young, wild and free Jack ends up freezing in the water but Rose ended up surviving as that was his dying wish to her.

In the opening scene we see an ocean with moonlight shining on it. As we go underwater we see lights slowly coming towards the camera. It's then revealed that the lights were coming from submarines.

The Spectacular Now

The Spectacular Now is a 2013 drama film that is centered around a teenage boy named Sutter who meets a quiet and reserved girl name Aimee in her yard. Because of this an unexpected relationship starts to form and

IT

The 2017 horror film IT is about a killer clown who eats little kids. Its starts off with a young boy named Georgie, the brother of another boy named Billy. Basically Georgie is having fun outside on a rainy day and he suddenly encounters an evil looking clown named Pennywise in the sewer. This clown ends up snatching Georgie to eating him. The clown ends up wanting to eat Billy and his friends and terrorizes them. As the kids start to fight for their lives, their friendship is tested. But eventually they get through their struggles and they end up taking down Pennywise together.

This opening scene is 3 minutes and 46 seconds long.

In this opening scene we are shown a young boy playing on a rainy day with a toy boat. His boat ends up falling near the sewer and an evil looking clown appears. The clown tries convincing the boy to come closer. And once he gets him close enough a straight face appears. All of a sudden the clown snatches the boy into the sewer and we left hearing the boys screams.
